Here is a great video showing the intensity of stadium truck racing. Losi is releasing an RTR version of the 22T that should be in stores Feb 9. I think this will reignite interest in stadium truck racking.
Video footage of the all-new Team Losi Racing (TLR) 22T electric stadium in warmups at the 2011 ROAR Off-Road Electric 1/10th Nationals at NorCal Hobbies in Union City, California. Driven by Dustin Evans, Dakotah Phend, Matt Chambers, and Mike Truhe.
I have been eyeballing the Losi TLR 22 for the last 6 weeks then finally broke down and bought a Losi 22 RTR when I saw them go on sale at Mikes Hobby Shop. My reasoning is that I have never driving a 2 WD buggy and wasn't sure how much I would enjoy it compared with a 4WD SC truck. The 2WD is definitely more challenging to drive, but oh what a joy when you do it correctly. After an hour of running the Losi 22 RTR on the track I am considering buying the Losi TLR 22. I love this little car!
Installed Tacon 3930KV motor (about $25) and it runs much stronger and cooler than the VXL motor that lost its spindle a week or so ago from overheating. Here is a sample of it running on 3S Lipo, stock gearing 54/11 and Proline SC Trencher tires (not the larger monster truck tires, which would have giving it more top end).
Stock Losi Mini Crawler (1/18 scale) crawling along rocky shoreline of Lake Ray Roberts. Two videos covering two different crawling sessions. The camera angles and sequencing is much better on part two.
